Activity #2

MDX Branding

This activity looks at the branding used my Middlesex University Dubai on their website https://www.mdx.ac.ae.

At first glance, one can see the official MDX Dubai logo as well as a large image of students getting together in front of the MDX building. The repetition of the brand's name and logo reenforces the acknowledgement of the brand and allows for quick recognition wherever the brand is encountered.


The logo includes the MDX emblem, a graphical representation relating back to the heritage of the school and its place of origin. The colours used for the brand throughout the website are red, white, and dark purple. These colours symbolise professionalism, integrity, inclusion and action, reminding customers about the values of the university and the quality in all that it has to offer.


There are also many visual images of happy and successful students and the campus seen throughout the website which reenforces the quality education offered by MDX Dubai as well as their pristine facilities.


I think that the branding on this website is excellent! It is thoroughly consistent, appealing to students and reenforces the values and aims of MDX Dubai.

Group Documentary

Our group project was done on a product called Chameleon Case. The idea is a single phone case that is able to transform its appearance according to the users preference. This can be achived on the Chameleon Case app.


The video commercial was created on #Adobe Express and the poster was created on #Canva. I really enjoyed creating this video! It helped to improve my creative skills, Adobe skills and I used this as an opportunity to use generative AI images offered by #Adobe!

EMERGING TECHNOLOGY CORNER

Throughout this week, I attended Gitex and YouthX both personally and with the university. It was my first time attending an IT event and I was blown away to say the least.


I enjoyed the entire event; from the 100s of expositions to the inspiring guest speakers, exploring the latest technological innovations and networking with professionals from various fields. It was truly an eye-opening experience!


I left with a deeper interest for AI as well as the new thought of mental health and humanity when it comes to Technology which I hope to explore further in the near future.
